The 3-Way Fundraiser. Donations To Help Others and Support a Podcast.
Over the past week, I've been trying to come up with a way to raise money for my podcast, The Black Box (known to most as The PKD Black Box Podcast) because I am in need of new recording equipment and tech in order to keep the show going.

The podcast has been running strong for three years now, and I have avoided asking for donations because I just didn't feel comfortable asking listeners, fans and followers of the show for money to help keep it going.
But I wanted to also do something to help others that are in need right now, especially after all the damage caused by Super Storm Sandy a few weeks ago.
So I think I have come up with a fair solution that will help raise money for the podcast, and help others at the same time.
I call it the "3-Way Fundraiser."
Get your heads out of the gutter, people. This is a fundraiser with a purpose.
All proceeds for the "3-Way Fundraiser" will break down like this:
- %33 of proceeds from the 3-Way Fundraiser will be donated to the Red Cross to help those affected by Super Storm Sandy.
- Another %33 of proceeds from the 3-Way Fundraiser will go towards Artist J.K. Woodward, who lost his home and belongings due to Super Storm Sandy.
- And %34 of proceeds will go towards new equipment for The Black Box Podcast (Microphones, computer accessories, software purchases, hosting fees, etc)
%33 + %33 + %34 = %100
I balanced the proceeds out to make it as fair as possible for the money to be distributed evenly towards all three things.
The 3-Way Fundraiser will end on November 23, 2012.
